Headteacher's Welcome

Dear Parents,

I am very pleased to introduce you to our website. I do hope it reflects the vibrant and caring nature of our school. At Thurgoland we are continually striving to provide the highest quality of opportunity for each of the children we have the privilege to educate.

The school is most fortunate in having a dedicated and talented staff team, who thoroughly enjoy caring for and teaching our lively and responsive pupils. We endeavour to make learning stimulating and fun, whilst seeking to foster responsible and compassionate young citizens.

As a Church School, Christian values underpin our whole ethos. We aim to stimulate spiritual awareness, alongside knowledge and understanding of a range of beliefs and lifestyles.

It is our intention to maintain and enhance the key strengths identified by OFSTED in a recent inspection report which said:
